Prominent Australian softball player Megan Shutt suspended for two matches for violating medication rules

Megan Shutt, a well-known and experienced fast bowler from Australia, has received a two-match ban for failing to comply with regulations related to the use of medication. Cricket Australia (CA) reported that this incident involved a breach of guidelines concerning sports science and sports medicine regarding prescription drugs.

As a result, Megan Shutt was excluded from the third and final match of the women's T20 series against New Zealand. This match was scheduled for October 22 at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney. Furthermore, she will be unable to participate in the opening match of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) against Adelaide Strikers for the Melbourne Stars team, scheduled for October 31.

According to information from Cricket Australia, this occurrence took place outside the competitive period and was not intended to enhance performance. The council stated that it will continue to provide necessary support to the athlete but emphasized the importance of adhering to the expected duties of players representing cricket.

Acknowledging the sanction, Megan Shutt offered her apologies. She noted that players are regularly provided with information on sports science and sports medicine guidelines, and following these rules is their responsibility. She expressed regret for not meeting these standards.

Megan Shutt also expressed regret over the discussions caused by this case. She admitted that the incident occurred off the field and was not related to performance, but this does not absolve her of responsibility for compliance with the rules.

The 33-year-old Megan Shutt has played in 4 Test matches, 114 ODI matches, and 126 T20 Internationals for the Australian women's team. During her career, she has taken 9 wickets in women's Test matches, and her tally in women's ODI and T20 Internationals stands at 158 and 152 wickets, respectively.

Kgasiiso Rabada stunned Australian batsmen with incredible ball speed in the second match of the SA vs AUS series

In the second test match between South Africa and Australia, held in Gqeberha, South African fast bowler Kgasiiso Rabada demonstrated outstanding performance. On the fourth day of the match, Rabada caused a sensation on the field due to his intimidating pace.

He bowled a delivery at a speed of 154.5 kilometers per hour towards Australian star batsman Travis Head, which astonished everyone. This incident occurred in the seventh over of Australia's first innings.

Rabada unleashed a delivery using all his strength, aimed outside off stump, clocked at 154.5 KPH on the speedometer. Due to the immense speed and movement of the ball, Travis Head was stunned. However, Head showed composure and allowed the ball to go to the backfield without trying to fight it. Nevertheless, earlier in the same over, Head managed to hit a beautiful cover drive off Rabada's ball. But the way Rabada changed the tempo in subsequent deliveries showed what form he is in.

Jacques Kallis: The Great All-Rounder of Cricket Who Surpassed Legends with His Records

Whenever the great all-rounders of cricket are discussed, the name of Jacques Kallis from South Africa is prominently mentioned. Born on October 16, 1975, he is considered one of the best all-rounders in cricket history. Kallis not only scored massive runs in batting but also changed the course of many matches with his bowling.

It took him some time to establish himself in international cricket, but his unbeaten innings of 101 runs against Australia in Melbourne in 1997 showcased his batting prowess. This innings was played under difficult circumstances and proved that Kallis could be a strong pillar for the team in big matches.

The Test series against West Indies in 2003-04 was a significant phase of Kallis's career. In this four-Test match series, he scored record runs. During this period, he scored six centuries with his bat across Test and ODI cricket combined. Kallis scored consecutive centuries in all four matches of this Test series (his scores were 158, 177, 130*, and 130).

With this achievement, he became one of the select batsmen in Test history to score four consecutive centuries. He scored a total of 616 runs in seven innings of this series at an average of over 170, after which Kallis began to be counted among the world's most reliable batsmen.

As a result of his brilliant performance, Kallis was honored in October 2005 when he was named 'Player of the Year' and 'Test Player of the Year' in the ICC Awards. This honor was a major acknowledgment of his excellent all-round performance.

In the 2007 ODI World Cup, Kallis was the leading run-scorer for South Africa, scoring a total of 485 runs in the tournament. However, he was not selected in the South African team for the T20 World Cup held on home soil that same year, but he later returned to the team.

In 2008-09, Kallis completed 10,000 runs in both ODI and Test formats. Notably, he achieved these milestones against Australia. Kallis is the only player in cricket history to achieve the feat of scoring over 10,000 runs and taking over 250 wickets in both Test and ODI (both formats).

The 2010-11 season was extremely brilliant for Kallis. In nine Test innings, he scored 821 runs, including five centuries and one half-century. During this time, he also registered his first double century in Test cricket.

After scoring a century against India, Kallis retired from Test cricket in December 2013. He concluded his Test career with 13,289 runs and 292 wickets. He ranked third in the list of highest run-scorers in Test cricket.

Jacques Kallis's career is proof of how significantly a player can contribute to their team in both batting and bowling, which is why he is counted among the greatest all-rounders in cricket history.

Matthew Hayden breaks Brian Lara's record in Test cricket, scoring 380 runs

There are matches in the history of Test cricket that are remembered for many years. One such event was the historic innings played by former Australian opener Matthew Hayden.

Twenty-three years ago, on October 10th, in the Perth Test against Zimbabwe, Hayden caused a sensation by scoring 380 runs. This incredible performance allowed him to break Brian Lara's record for the highest score in the history of Test cricket.

In this landmark innings, Hayden hit 38 fours and 11 sixes. He spent about ten hours at the crease, demonstrating powerful batting against the Zimbabwean bowlers. His shots, which included magnificent cut shots, straight drives, and powerful pull shots, were so impressive that the bowlers could not find a way to stop him.

When Matthew Hayden walked onto the field in this confrontation, hardly anyone could have imagined that he would enter the golden annals of Test cricket. After scoring 183 not out runs on the second day, Hayden continued his aggressive style the next day and soon surpassed the 300-run mark.

According to data, Hayden scored 380 runs off 437 balls, hitting 38 fours and 11 sixes. One Zimbabwean player described this innings as: 'It felt like he was hitting the barn door!'

Prior to this, the record for the highest score in Test cricket belonged to the legendary West Indian batsman, Brian Lara. Lara reached 375 runs against England in 1994. Hayden set a new record by scoring 380 runs off 437 balls.

Australia achieved a significant victory in this match. Zimbabwe, having won the toss, chose to bat first. Australia posted a substantial total of 735/6d in the first innings. Australian captain Steve Waugh (78) and Damien Martyn (53) both scored half-centuries.

For Zimbabwe, Sean Ervine took the most wickets, claiming 4. Zimbabwe's reply finished at 239 runs. In the second innings, Australia also dismissed Zimbabwe for 321 runs. Australia secured this historic victory by one innings and 175 runs.

In this momentous match, Australian batsman and wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist also displayed excellent play. He scored a hundred runs off just 84 balls, further strengthening the Australian innings. Nevertheless, Gilchrist's innings looked pale compared to Hayden's 380 runs. Matthew Hayden was named 'Player of the Match' for his stunning performance.

After Hayden set the record, Brian Lara himself called him to congratulate him. However, Hayden's record did not last long. Approximately six months later, in April 2004, Lara broke the record for the highest score in Test cricket again, scoring 400* not out against England. Hayden's 380-run innings is still considered one of the most unforgettable in the history of Test cricket.
