The client specified that the building should instantly communicate the organization's mission to visitors: to provide consumers with safe and reliable products while contributing to the maintenance of traditional Japanese food culture.
Additionally, because the company used its own distribution network to support regions affected after the Great East Japan Earthquake, it was desired that the new headquarters also have the capacity to support the local community in any future disasters.
