Jovi is preparing to introduce a smartphone equipped with a 9,800 mAh battery to the Brazilian market. The manufacturer obtained certification from Anatel for the device identified by code J2608, which, according to information obtained by Tecnoblog, may be the intermediate model Jovi Y600 Pro 5G.
Although official documentation has not yet revealed the full name or confirmed all technical specifications, public Google records on support pages and devices compatible with the Play Store link this code to the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G.
Despite sharing the name of the Vivo Y600 Pro 5G (V2561A), which is currently sold only in China, the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G appears to be a version adapted for Brazil of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, launched in August in various Asian markets. This device is also known as S2 FE and Y600 in other locations. The production of the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G will be carried out in Brazil by GBR Componentes Da Amazônia, located in Manaus.
The Jovi Y600 Pro 5G was certified using the BC13X battery, whose nominal capacity is 9,800 mAh. This specification corresponds to that of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which was announced with a typical capacity of 10,000 mAh; the discrepancy is due to the fact that manufacturers often disclose the typical commercial capacity, while technical documents register the nominal battery capacity.
The Brazilian certification also covers a 44W charger, following the standard offered by the model in other markets. However, the battery specifications of this new device are lower than those of the homologous model marketed in China, since the Vivo Y600 Pro 5G reached 10,200 mAh with ultra-fast charging up to 90W.
Even so, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G set an autonomy record in August, keeping the device in use for 32 hours and 37 minutes in a continuous test that included gaming, photography, video recording, and streaming. This publication reinforces the names of the product variants in different parts of the world.
If the hardware of the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G maintains the characteristics of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in other countries, it should come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, offering 6 or 8 GB of RAM and storage of up to 256 GB. This configuration would bring the model closer to the Realme P4 Power, a Chinese competitor with 10,000 mAh, which uses the Dimensity 7400 Ultra and supports up to 12 GB of RAM.
The device will also feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, presenting a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. In terms of cameras, it has a 50 MP main sensor and a 32 MP front camera, specifications notably similar to those of the Chinese Vivo Y600 Pro 5G.
Brazilian certification documents have already confirmed aspects of the device's connectivity, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE support, and NFC. Jovi has not yet made an official announcement of the Y600 Pro 5G, and there is no defined forecast for the start of sales in Brazil. In regions such as Vietnam, the cost of the model is estimated at around US$ 500, which is equivalent to approximately R$ 2,500 in direct conversion.
