Jovi prepares launch of cell phone with 9,800 mAh battery in Brazil

Jovi is preparing to introduce a smartphone equipped with a 9,800 mAh battery to the Brazilian market. The manufacturer obtained certification from Anatel for the device identified by code J2608, which, according to information obtained by Tecnoblog, may be the intermediate model Jovi Y600 Pro 5G.

Although official documentation has not yet revealed the full name or confirmed all technical specifications, public Google records on support pages and devices compatible with the Play Store link this code to the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G.

Despite sharing the name of the Vivo Y600 Pro 5G (V2561A), which is currently sold only in China, the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G appears to be a version adapted for Brazil of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, launched in August in various Asian markets. This device is also known as S2 FE and Y600 in other locations. The production of the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G will be carried out in Brazil by GBR Componentes Da Amazônia, located in Manaus.

The Jovi Y600 Pro 5G was certified using the BC13X battery, whose nominal capacity is 9,800 mAh. This specification corresponds to that of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which was announced with a typical capacity of 10,000 mAh; the discrepancy is due to the fact that manufacturers often disclose the typical commercial capacity, while technical documents register the nominal battery capacity.

The Brazilian certification also covers a 44W charger, following the standard offered by the model in other markets. However, the battery specifications of this new device are lower than those of the homologous model marketed in China, since the Vivo Y600 Pro 5G reached 10,200 mAh with ultra-fast charging up to 90W.

Even so, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G set an autonomy record in August, keeping the device in use for 32 hours and 37 minutes in a continuous test that included gaming, photography, video recording, and streaming. This publication reinforces the names of the product variants in different parts of the world.

If the hardware of the Jovi Y600 Pro 5G maintains the characteristics of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in other countries, it should come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, offering 6 or 8 GB of RAM and storage of up to 256 GB. This configuration would bring the model closer to the Realme P4 Power, a Chinese competitor with 10,000 mAh, which uses the Dimensity 7400 Ultra and supports up to 12 GB of RAM.

The device will also feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, presenting a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. In terms of cameras, it has a 50 MP main sensor and a 32 MP front camera, specifications notably similar to those of the Chinese Vivo Y600 Pro 5G.

Brazilian certification documents have already confirmed aspects of the device's connectivity, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE support, and NFC. Jovi has not yet made an official announcement of the Y600 Pro 5G, and there is no defined forecast for the start of sales in Brazil. In regions such as Vietnam, the cost of the model is estimated at around US$ 500, which is equivalent to approximately R$ 2,500 in direct conversion.

Poco X8s introduced with 6330 mAh battery and 100W charging, offering big features in a compact body

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Poco has released its POCO X8s model in select global markets. This device is equipped with a 6.35-inch screen, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 6330 mAh battery, and supports 100W fast charging.

One of the distinguishing features of the phone is its compact size. While many modern smartphones feature screens of 6.7 inches or larger, the POCO X8s is presented in a smaller format.

Compact 6.35-inch screen, but powerful specifications

The POCO X8s features a 6.35-inch 1.5K OLED display. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which ensures smoother scrolling and an improved gaming experience. According to the company, the peak brightness of the screen reaches 3500 nits. The advantage of a small screen is ease of holding and one-handed use compared to larger models. However, users who prefer watching a lot of videos or gaming on large displays may find its small size insufficient.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and Android 16

The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, built on a 4nm architecture. The POCO X8s is available with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, and storage capacity starts from 256GB up to 512GB. The phone runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. This combination of processor and RAM offers a good option for daily use, running multiple applications, and gaming.

6330 mAh battery with 100W charging

The POCO X8s is equipped with a 6330 mAh battery, exceeding the capacity of many standard smartphones, which can be useful for users who actively use their phone for extended periods. Furthermore, it supports 100W wired fast charging. Reverse wired charging support of 22.5W is also claimed, allowing other devices to be charged from the phone itself with the appropriate cable and support.

Cameras on the POCO X8s

The main rear camera of the POCO X8s has a resolution of 50 megapixels, and there is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The ultra-wide-angle lens allows capturing a larger area in one shot, which is convenient for landscapes and group photos. A 32-megapixel module is located on the front side for selfies and video calls. The phone has an IP68 rating, meaning it has passed dust and water protection tests according to established standards. Nevertheless, this does not guarantee complete protection in all conditions, as sealing may weaken over time, and warranty conditions may differ in case of water damage.

Price of the POCO X8s

Currently, the POCO X8s is available in the Vietnamese market. The model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage costs around 42,000 rupees, while the version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage is approximately 51,000 rupees. When using introductory offers and vouchers, the effective cost of these models is about 30,000 rupees and 37,000 rupees, respectively. This phone has not yet been launched in India.

Samsung Galaxy F70 5G launched in India with 5000 mAh battery and 50 MP camera

Samsung has introduced the new Galaxy F70 5G smartphone to the Indian market, targeting the budget segment. The initial price of the device is set at ₹19,999, but thanks to a special offer, the effective cost can be reduced to ₹17,999.

This device is equipped with a 50-megapixel camera, a Super AMOLED display, and a 5000 mAh battery. Special attention has been paid to screen protection, as the manufacturer used Gorilla Glass Victus, and the camera system features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The smartphone is available in two configurations. The model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs ₹19,999. The more powerful version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage requires ₹22,999. With a bank discount under the introductory offer, the initial effective price can reach ₹17,999, subject to customer requirements.

The first wave of sales is scheduled for October 20th at 12:00 PM. Buyers can purchase the device through the Flipkart platform, the official Samsung website, and in select retail stores. The phone will be released in two color variants: Vivid Violet and Bold Black.

Despite having a large screen, the phone's thickness is about 7.5 millimeters, and its weight is approximately 192 grams. The device has an IP54 rating, which provides protection against dust and light splashes of water, although immersion in water is not recommended.

The main camera of the Galaxy F70 5G has a resolution of 50 megapixels and supports OIS. This technology helps compensate for sensor or lens shake, reducing the likelihood of blurry shots from slight hand movements, and also improves photo quality in low light. In addition to the main module, there is a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the rear panel. The ultra-wide-angle lens allows capturing large scenes or more people in the frame, while the macro camera is designed for close-up shots of small objects. A 13-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies and video calls.

The phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations smoother compared to standard 60Hz screens. AMOLED technology ensures deep blacks and high contrast, enhancing the viewing experience of video content.

The Galaxy F70 5G features a 5000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. While this capacity is suitable for daily use, the actual battery life will depend on screen brightness, network activity, gaming, and the applications used.

The Samsung Galaxy F70 5G uses the proprietary Exynos 1330 chipset, which supports 5G networks and is optimized for daily tasks, video streaming, social media, and general gaming sessions. Users are offered options with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with the option to expand memory via a microSD card.

Samsung guarantees users four generations of Android OS support and five years of security updates. This is a significant advantage for users planning long-term device usage, as regular updates provide new features and security enhancements. Among the additional features of the smartphone are Circle to Search, Google Gemini, Samsung Wallet, Quick Share, and Samsung Knox, which is responsible for protecting sensitive information on the device.
