Ram has launched the Laramie Night Edition version for the Ram 2500, which is available for R$ 569,990 and establishes itself as the new top-of-the-line pickup truck. This edition replaces the traditional chrome finishes of the brand with darkened details.
With this new offering, all Ram pickups sold in Brazil will offer the Night Edition option. The standard version, the conventional 2500 Laramie, has a price of R$ 559,990.
The engine under the hood is the Cummins 6.7 turbodiesel, which delivers 436 hp and 148.7 kgfm, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4x4 traction system with a reducer. According to Ram itself, the 2500 and 3500 models are the most powerful diesel trucks available in the country.
The grille, which was chrome on the standard Laramie, now features a glossy black finish, and the contours, headlight frames, and bumpers adopt the body color. Similar to the 3500 Night Edition, the hood has central air intakes and side vents, and the model emblem has been placed in the center of it. Other darkened elements include the mirrors, running boards, logos, and 18-inch wheels.
The cabin is entirely black and equipped with a 12-inch multimedia center that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The instrument panel measures 12.3 inches, and the vehicle offers advanced features such as 360-degree cameras, a dedicated bed camera, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot warning.
The 2500 can tow up to 8,948 kg, a weight higher than nine Fiat Mobis, surpassed only by the 3500 in the Ram lineup in terms of towing capacity. Its payload capacity reaches 1,287 kg. The Tow/Haul function allows adjustments to gear shifts and uses engine braking when carrying weight behind, in addition to having electrically extending mirrors.
The bed accommodates 1,200 liters, and there are two side compartments called Rambox, each with 122 liters; the left compartment has a 115V outlet. The front seats are electric, with heating and ventilation functions, and the center console accommodates a notebook up to 15 inches. The interior also features six USB ports and two 115V outlets.
The Ram 2500 Laramie Night Edition will soon be available at dealerships in the following colors: Bright White, Zenith Silver, Crystal Granite, Diamond Black, and Forged Blue.
