Science Corporation announced the successful completion of clinical trials for the subretinal implant PRIMA in a man suffering from Stargardt disease. As a result of rehabilitation measures, this patient, who previously had serious vision problems, was able to first distinguish a single letter and subsequently an entire word.
Previously, this implant demonstrated its effectiveness in patients facing geographic retinal atrophy, as well as age-related macular degeneration.
