Apple has invited journalists to attend an in-person event in Los Angeles, USA, scheduled for October 28, 2026. A phrase shared by executive Greg Joswiak, titled “Pro and Tell,” intensified rumors about the launch of new computers and tablets.
Among the devices speculated as future releases are the MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, an updated iMac version, and a new iteration of the iPad mini. However, the company has not yet confirmed which products will be presented.
The most consistent rumors point to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. According to the initial publication, these two models could introduce touchscreens and OLED panels, in addition to having a thinner and redesigned appearance.
The incorporation of touch functionality would represent a significant change for Apple, given that it has historically avoided including this feature in its notebooks. Meanwhile, OLED technology would enable the display of deeper blacks and more vibrant colors.
Processor specifications may also undergo modifications. Options for M6 and M5 Ultra chips are being considered, although it is not yet defined which chip will be assigned to each version. There are also speculations about an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with a similar current design that could adopt the M6 to enhance performance, including in artificial intelligence applications.
The iMac is among the candidates for renewal. This desktop computer received the M4 chip in 2024 and may receive a new generation of components, with the M6 being one of the options mentioned in the rumors.
The rumors are not limited to computers. The art shared by Apple features colorful tones reminiscent of a brushstroke or a finger moving across a surface. Although this image does not confirm any specific product, it has contributed to increased expectations regarding tablet news.
The iPad mini might undergo design changes, receive an OLED screen with ProMotion, and be equipped with a more powerful processor. ProMotion technology allows for higher refresh rates, resulting in smoother animations and movements. The same publication also suggested the possibility of a higher selling price than the current generation.
An update to the entry-level iPad is also among the possibilities, but there is insufficient data to determine if this model will be part of the event.
The main indication came from Greg Joswiak, Apple's Senior Vice President of Marketing. In a post on the X platform, he wrote: “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week,” which can be interpreted as “We can’t wait to show our Pro news next week.” This message was accompanied by an animation drawing the company's logo.
The official Hello Apple profile also shared the image on Instagram, using the caption “About next week...”. Furthermore, the company sent invitations for an in-person experience in Los Angeles on October 28.
The mention of the word “experience” recalls the description used by Apple at a previous event focused on home products, indicating that journalists may inspect the devices in person without necessarily attending a formal presentation.
Until there is an official announcement, all these innovations remain within the realm of rumors. It is expected that the meeting will clarify which items will be available on the market and what improvements Apple has planned for its computer and tablet lines.
