International exhibitions of the textile industry and fashion are taking place in Tehran

The 32nd International Exhibition of Iranian Textile Machinery, Raw Materials, Home Textiles, and Embroidery Machines (IRANTEX), as well as the 14th International Fashion Exhibition of Iran (IRANMODE), have started in Tehran. These events opened at the permanent site of the Tehran International Exhibitions with the participation of leading industry companies.

According to an IRNA report, the exhibitions began with the participation of 108 domestic and foreign firms, displayed across five exhibition halls, and will continue until October 21st at the same venue.

Both exhibitions provide an opportunity to showcase the potential of local manufacturers, present new achievements, and establish connections among all participants in the textile and sewing industry chain, including organizers and specialists in this field.

IRANTEX stands feature products and successes from various sectors of the industry, including textile machinery and mechanisms, raw materials, yarn and fibers, diverse fabrics, and home goods. Visitors can learn about the latest technologies and solutions aimed at improving product quality, design, and production processes.

The IRANMODE exhibition focuses on presenting the latest collections, designs, and capabilities of clothing manufacturers. The event serves as a platform to demonstrate national manufacturing and design potential, study new market trends, and strengthen ties between designers, suppliers, manufacturers, and participants in the sewing sector.

The joint holding of these two events promotes closer interaction between different links in the production chain—from raw material supply and fabric production to design, sewing, and final delivery of finished goods. Such interaction can significantly influence increased productivity, improved quality, and enhanced competitiveness of Iranian products.

Among other goals of the exhibitions are export development, searching for new markets, technology and knowledge transfer, attracting investment, and expanding trade cooperation with foreign companies. Specialized meetings, training seminars, and business gatherings also offer a chance to exchange experiences, discuss industry challenges, and create a basis for joint work.

The textile and sewing industry is one of the country's key manufacturing sectors, possessing significant potential for value creation and export development through job creation and integration with upstream and downstream industries. Therefore, specialized exhibitions in this field help familiarize with domestic capabilities, understand market needs, and strengthen the link between consumers and producers.

Seyed Shojaeddin Emami-Rauf, Secretary of the Iranian Textile Industry Association, characterized these specialized events as an important platform for presenting the latest achievements, technologies, and products of the country's textile and sewing industry. He emphasized that developing trade contacts and strengthening export markets are among the most crucial tasks of holding these exhibitions.

He added that visitors are welcome in halls 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. This industry figure noted that in addition to showcasing domestic capabilities, the international section of IRANTEX includes companies and representatives from five countries—China, Turkey, South Korea, the Netherlands, and Germany, which indicates the interest of international players in the Iranian textile market.

He also mentioned that the exhibition covers a wide spectrum of the value chain in the textile and sewing industry, including machinery, yarn, fibers, and raw materials for textiles and home goods, bedding, as well as clothing for men, women, and children.

The Secretary of the Iranian Textile Industry Association invited everyone active in this field—manufacturers, specialists, and interested parties—to attend the event to learn about the latest achievements and gain a favorable opportunity for exchanging information, concluding contracts, and developing trade partnerships.

Iranian Delegation Visits Advanced Technology Exhibition in Japan

An Iranian delegation, comprising 17 companies engaged in scientific research and development, participated in the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC), which took place from October 13 to 16 at the Nippon Convention Center in Tiba, Japan. The delegation was supported by the Prosperity and Innovation Fund.

The event provided a significant opportunity for technology experts, industrialists, and knowledge-based firms to familiarize themselves with the latest trends, products, and innovations in artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things, and digital transformation, as reported by the IRNA agency.

On October 15, representatives of knowledge-based companies visited the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) and participated in networking sessions to establish professional interactions with experts in the innovation ecosystem. During the visit, Iranian and Japanese representatives held bilateral (B2B) meetings, exploring opportunities for joint commercialization of technologies, expanding international markets, and promoting ties between the two countries.

In parallel with the exhibition, the Iranian delegation held a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Japan, where potential directions and obstacles for developing scientific and technical and economic cooperation between Iran and Japan were discussed.

CEATEC 2026 showcased a vision of the future society, integrating the newest services and technologies that reflect global changes. Under the slogan 'Transformation,' the exhibition emphasized the new value brought by change through innovative solutions, practical exhibits, and programs.

The main goal of the event was to accelerate the implementation of advanced technologies in the real sector of society, such as AI, and to stimulate inter-industry cooperation to create practical business projects.

In January, Japanese Ambassador Tamaki Tsukada stressed the importance of strengthening scientific ties with Iranian universities across various fields, especially in new technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced materials. The Ambassador quoted IRNA, stating that science and industry are the main indicators of power in the 21st century and play a crucial role in scientific diplomacy.

These statements were made during a meeting with Mohammad Shokrikh, Rector of the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). The Ambassador noted that Iran's scientific capabilities and potential have never been fully presented to Japan, and stated that this is his primary task. He also expressed readiness to facilitate interaction between IUST and Japanese universities.

For his part, Shokrikh detailed the university's achievements in science, research, and industry. He proposed faculty and student exchanges, joint educational courses and scientific projects, the establishment of joint laboratories, and cooperation in science and technology parks.

Referencing a consortium of five leading Iranian technological universities—Tehran University, Tehran Medical University, Amkirab University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, and Iran Medical University (UT5)—an official representative stated that this consortium could lay the foundation for expanding scientific contacts between top Iranian technological universities and Japanese universities, which was positively received by the Japanese side.
