Scaramucci comments on Katie Zacharia's departure from the White House, speaking about the need to break records

Anthony Scaramucci, who previously served as the White House press secretary during Donald Trump's first term for only 10 days, reacted to Katie Zacharia's departure after five days in the role. After her 'record' was broken, the New York commentator shared his opinion on the social network X, stating: 'Records exist to be surpassed. But I don't enjoy the suffering of others.'

Since Scaramucci himself knows what it is like to be fired shortly after appointment, he also posted advice for Katie Zacharia on the same network. He advised her: 'Katie, speaking as a leading global expert on short tenures in the White House: turn off the news and enjoy your family.' Additionally, on October 16, he added: 'In time, you will realize that the Universe has done you a huge favor.'

It should be noted that Katie Zacharia, the new White House press secretary, left her position just five days after U.S. President Donald Trump questioned her continued employment. Trump told the press at the White House last Friday: 'I asked her: 'Katie, is this place for you?' (...) 'Honestly, if I were in her shoes, I would reconsider (the situation)'.'

Zacharia, who is a commentator associated with Trump's support base, previously worked as a communications consultant for the company managing Truth Social—a platform owned by the Trump family that the president prefers for his advertising campaigns. Between February and April of this year, she held the position of press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security.

As a commentator, she presented herself as an attorney; however, according to investigations by American press, she never passed the bar exam, which is a mandatory requirement for practicing law. Her first press conference on Tuesday also drew criticism, being brief, indecisive, and containing several errors, including a 'mix-up' between her husband and the President of the United States. Zacharia, who is from California, replaced Caroline Levitt, who left government to spend more time with her family.
