JLR India expands presence in Delhi and Gurugram, views NCR as key market

The automotive conglomerate Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India is increasing its retail presence in the National Capital Region (NCR). The company is moving to a larger integrated center in Delhi and opening a new dealership in Gurugram, as it considers this region a key market for growth.

Rajan Amba, Manager of Tata Group, which owns the automaker, stated that this move strengthens JLR's retail network in the region, calling it an 'important market.' Amba emphasized that the new integrated facility reflects the company's unwavering commitment to providing first-class services in both sales and after-sales support in key growing markets.

With the addition of the Gurugram dealership, JLR India's retail network now covers 33 points across 26 cities nationwide. The automaker, in collaboration with AMP Motors, relocated its dealership to a larger integrated premises on Mathura Road in South Delhi and launched a new sales point in Gurugram, Haryana.

During the first quarter (Q1), the company sold 1665 vehicles, representing an 11 percent increase compared to the same period last year. More than 85 percent of all sales were models such as Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender, while wholesale shipments increased by 4 percent, reaching 1694 units.
