Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, and Sergio Gor, the special representative of the US President for South and Central Asia, visited a local market in Uzbekistan.
Sergio Gor shared his impressions of this trip on social media, noting his joy at returning to Uzbekistan. He wrote: 'It was a pleasure to walk through the local market with my friend Saida Mirziyoyeva.'
Earlier, Gor had spoken about his trip to the historic city of Bukhara, which he visited together with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and regional governor Botir Zaripov. He also emphasized the United States' interest in the further development of bilateral relations.
Gor stated: 'The United States highly values its partnership with Uzbekistan, and I look forward to further strengthening our ties.'
During the visit, the US delegation's special representative held meetings with companies participating in the State Department Secretary Marco Rubio's trade and economic mission in Uzbekistan. These companies included Traxys, Starlink, and Air Products.
Discussions focused on important topics such as critical minerals, energy connectivity, and agriculture.
