Navoi International Airport and Harvest Epoch Strategic Agree on Cargo Transportation Roadmap

Navoi International Airport and Harvest Epoch Strategic have signed an agreement on a roadmap to implement their strategic partnership in air cargo transportation. This document details the stages of work, timelines, and responsibilities of both parties.

This cooperation is developing under the presidential decree of February 9, 2026, concerning measures to improve the efficiency of Navoi International Airport. The airport is planned to be transformed into the largest international multimodal cargo hub in Eurasia.

Previously, on September 9, 2026, during the Belt and Road Summit, a framework agreement on a strategic alliance with Harvest Epoch Strategic was signed in Hong Kong.

Alisher Kilichev, Director of Navoi International Airport, stated that the parties plan to sign the final agreement in November and launch a six-month pilot project. According to the proposed scheme, Harvest Epoch Strategic will act as the airport's commercial agent. Its tasks include attracting airlines and logistics operators, as well as increasing the volume of e-commerce cargo shipments. Kilichev noted that this will help strengthen the airport's potential.

The strategic goal of the project is to increase the annual cargo turnover of the airport to 45,000 tons by 2030.

A joint working group is currently being formed. The partners must present an updated version of the feasibility study, while Navoi International Airport will provide information on tariffs, infrastructure, commercial terms, and services.

Chan Hung To, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Harvest Epoch Strategic, stated that the company aims to become a link between China and Uzbekistan to accelerate economic and trade development. He emphasized that because Uzbekistan is a landlocked country, interaction between China and Navoi International Airport can play a key role in the development of the national economy.

According to Chan, the next step will be the signing of a commercial cooperation agreement covering a wide range of areas. He expressed confidence that this partnership will increase the number of flights through Navoi and expand opportunities for Uzbek products to reach international markets. Furthermore, he noted that the airport's location in the center of Central Asia makes it an important logistics hub for establishing connections between China and Europe.
