On International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed on October 17, China's approach continues to serve as a source of inspiration five years after the country declared complete victory over absolute poverty.
President Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized China's commitment to the global task of poverty reduction. He stressed that eradicating poverty is a worldwide issue and a common goal for all nations on the planet.
Furthermore, he stated that the root cause of poverty lies in insufficient development. Xi Jinping insists that all states must have equal rights, equal opportunities, and the same rules, regardless of their size, power, or wealth.
