Ishan Kishan hits six-chiller in India vs West Indies T20I match; ball flies out of stadium

During a tense series match between India and the West Indies at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, the game was shortened to 9-9 overs due to rain. The Indian team, which lost the toss and started with batting, caused a sensation with Ishan Kishan's aggressive play.

Kishan hit a powerful six-chiller off Romario Shefferda's ball, which flew directly over the stadium roof and out of bounds. This shot marked the completion of his sixteenth six-chiller in the current T20 series.

In this highly competitive, rain-interrupted match, West Indies captain Shy Hope won the toss and elected to bowl first. India's start was not ideal, as Kim Paul dismissed Abhishek Sharma, dealing the first blow to the Indian side.

Following this, Ishan Kishan began to dominate the Caribbean bowlers. He executed an impressive scoop shot off Romario Shefferda's ball, slightly angled to the left while kneeling over the fine leg, drawing the attention of all spectators.

However, Ishan could not sustain his impressive streak, and after scoring 30 runs in 10 overs, he was caught by Rouman Powell off Shamra Joseph's delivery. After the rain break, when play resumed, the umpires reduced the number of overs to 9-9.

Under the new playing conditions, each bowler can bowl a maximum of two overs, with one bowler allowed to bowl only one over. The series is currently tied at 2-2, and both teams are striving to win the trophy in this short match.

The Indian squad included: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Namam Dira, Akshar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Prince Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh. The West Indies squad consisted of: Shy Hope (wicketkeeper/captain), Joel Andrew, Shimron Hetmyer, Rouman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shefferda, Roston Chase, Kim Paul, Shamra Springer, Gudakesh Motie, and Shamra Joseph.
