On a section of the Anhor canal, located along Mukimi Street in Tashkent, the water supply was stopped, leading to a sharp drop in water levels in some areas. There is a risk of fish dying in isolated and small bodies of water if the current situation is not corrected.
According to information provided by the specialized channel Ekologuz, the cessation of water supply in certain sections of Anhor has formed small pools containing fish. A further drop in water levels could negatively affect the survival conditions of these animals.
Specialists are appealing to responsible structures with an urgent request to promptly inspect the problematic area, assess the state of fish stocks, and take all necessary steps to prevent their death. In particular, the need for controlled fishing followed by relocation to another suitable body of water is being discussed, which should only be carried out with appropriate permits and compliance with all established norms.
Representatives of the environmental community expect a quick response from competent agencies to take timely measures and avoid the loss of inhabitants of the water body. It should be noted that mass fish deaths were previously recorded in the Salar canal in the capital as well.
