InvoiceCloud, a provider of digital invoicing and payment solutions, has announced a three-year growth plan that includes investments of approximately 350 crore rupees. These funds will be directed towards strengthening the company's global innovation center located in Hyderabad.
This support plan covers staff expansion, infrastructure development, implementation of artificial intelligence initiatives, and product development improvements. This growth is based on the contribution of the team in India in creating solutions for InvoiceCloud's clients.
Kevin O'Brien, CEO of InvoiceCloud, noted that Hyderabad is becoming a more significant part of the product creation process for clients, driven by the results achieved by the team. He added that this investment will provide the necessary personnel, technology, and potential to continue this progress over the next three years.
Since starting operations in Hyderabad in 2024, the InvoiceCloud team in India has grown to over 250 people. It is expected that the staff will reach 300 employees by the end of 2026, with further growth planned for the following three years. Moreover, over 70 percent of employees in India are engaged in engineering and product roles, supporting product development, platform engineering, and AI.
AI Application and Product Innovations
InvoiceCloud teams in Hyderabad are actively advancing the company's roadmap in artificial intelligence, covering product development, customer experience, platform reliability, and technology modernization. The productivity of one engineer has increased by 120% year-on-year, which the company largely attributes to the use of AI tools and processes that allow teams to create and implement solutions faster.
Furthermore, the Hyderabad team developed an agent AI-based customer self-service feature from InvoiceCloud, which was launched in less than six months. Bijju Davis, Vice President and Head of the India Branch at InvoiceCloud, emphasized that the Hyderabad team managed to move the service module, representing agent self-service for consumers, from the development stage to launch in under half a year, which is an example of combining strong engineering capabilities and AI to solve customer problems and accelerate processes.
The company increased its space in Hyderabad by 50 percent, reaching 33,000 square feet, providing additional space for engineering, product, and AI teams. The new floor is also adorned with a permanent fresco created over four days by InvoiceCloud employees in collaboration with the public art collective Aravani Art Project, which creates murals across India.
The opening ceremony gathered over 20 executives from InvoiceCloud's headquarters in the USA and teams in India, including CEO Kevin O'Brien, Chief People Officer Jesse Markov, CTO Jed Matsubo, and Chief Product Officer Steve Schultz, as well as India Branch Head Bijju Davis. InvoiceCloud, headquartered in the USA, serves over 3,250 clients in the utility, government, and insurance sectors, processing over $40 billion in payments annually.
