Following this, government employees, teachers, and students in the region may receive a continuous three-day break. It was assumed that people were demanding a day off on a working day during the festivals so they could celebrate with family without interrupting work or studies.

After these demands, the minister instructed officials to issue the relevant orders.

Chief Minister Yogi announced a public holiday on October 19th for employees and students on the occasion of Mahanaavi, which was good news for residents. However, a sequence of holidays has formed in the state. Since October 18th falls on a Sunday, that day will be a holiday. Following the minister's announcement, October 19th will also be a holiday.
