An official representative announced on Friday that companies from the USA will once again lead the exhibition area at the ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE), occupying leading positions for the eighth consecutive year. The size of their zone has increased by 1,500 square meters compared to last year.
The ninth CIIE will take place in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. This exhibition, launched in 2018 as the first national world import expo, is designed to promote China's openness and transform its vast market into an opportunity for the entire world.
Preparations for the ninth CIIE are largely complete. Yang Dong, Deputy Minister of Commerce of China, stated at a press conference that 162 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as 4,142 foreign companies, will participate in the exhibition.
The total exhibition area will exceed 440,000 square meters for the first time. Within the corporate exhibition, companies from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France will hold the leading positions in terms of occupied area.
