Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Peter Lee, Chairman of the Hong Kong-based Henderson Land Group. The goal of the negotiations was to discuss potential areas for joint investment.
Renewable energy, infrastructure development in New Tashkent, and education were named as promising areas for cooperation.
Mirziyoyeva emphasized Uzbekistan's interest in attracting capital investments and expanding partnerships with major companies from Hong Kong, which is a special administrative region of China.
She reported that local authorities are ready to support joint projects, including utilizing the opportunities provided by the planned Tashkent International Financial Centre.
The Head of the Presidential Administration expressed confidence in the great potential for further strengthening economic ties between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
