FIFA unveiled the brand for the U-20 World Cup 2027, which will be held in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan

The International Federation of Football (FIFA) has officially presented the corporate identity for the upcoming U-20 World Cup 2027, which will take place in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The tournament slogan is 'U Shape The Game' and is designed to motivate young footballers to unleash their talent and leave a mark on sports history. The brand concept emphasizes that this youth championship is a platform for promising players, allowing them to demonstrate their skills, gain international experience, and achieve global recognition.

The official emblem is based on the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. National ornaments and mosaic motifs have been reinterpreted in a modern design that combines traditional patterns, geometric shapes, and bright colors. At the center of the emblem, a stylized letter 'U' symbolizes the potential of young footballers to shape their own future and influence the development of the game.

The color palette includes shades of blue-green, green, purple, and red, uniting the two host countries in a single visual concept. FIFA Secretary General Matthias Grafström noted that participation in the World Cup is an important stage in a young footballer's career.

The tournament provides players with the opportunity to learn about different playing styles, adapt to new conditions, and compete against some of the strongest players of their age from other countries. Grafström added that FIFA will cooperate with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to create conditions for participants to realize their potential and have unforgettable experiences.

The brand launch is scheduled to take place in the capitals of both countries, and as preparations for the tournament advance, the official emblem will be displayed at significant landmarks in Tashkent and Baku.

Statements from Representatives

Rowshan Najaf, President of the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA), stated that the tournament will give young athletes a chance to compete internationally, gain experience, and take an important step in their sporting careers. He also expressed confidence that the competition will increase fan interest in football and support the development of young talents.

Ravshan Irmatov, First Vice President of the Football Association of Uzbekistan, emphasized that hosting the tournament in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will strengthen ties between the two states and attract football fans from around the world.

The U-20 World Cup 2027 will be the twenty-fifth edition of this tournament. It will be held in a year marking the 50th anniversary of the first youth World Cup, which took place in Tunisia in 1977. Over the years, players who participated in the competition later became global football stars such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Erling Haaland.

The 2027 tournament will once again provide young players with the opportunity to establish themselves on the international stage, and fans with the chance to watch potential future stars of world football.
