Uzbekistan has canceled a tender originally valued at 10.3 billion soums for the procurement of equipment for automatic traffic control. This decision was made after the Competition Committee discovered signs of potential antitrust violations by the customer—Telecom Soft.
Inspection Details
According to the committee's data, an inspection of the procurement procedure conducted on October 12, 2026, revealed signs of non-compliance with Article 29 of the Law on Competition. The committee noted that the identified actions could restrict competition during the tender process.
The purchase was intended for acquiring automated monitoring systems and ensuring compliance with traffic rules. Following the inspection, Telecom Soft voluntarily terminated the participant selection procedure.
The Competition Committee emphasized that the goal of identifying and preventing such violations is to ensure the effective and transparent use of state funds, as well as to create an open and fair competitive environment for businesses.
