Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri stated that India has expanded its crude oil supply network, increasing the number of supplier countries from 27 to 41. Furthermore, the country plans to continue import diversification, increase refining capacity, and seek new oil sources amidst geopolitical tensions.
Puri noted that disruptions in international sea routes could directly affect both Indian industry and household expenses.
