EAEU begins using electronic transport consignment note e-CMR in road transport

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has started using the electronic transport consignment note e-CMR in the field of road transport. As noted by Kozhoshev, the goal is to solve long-standing problems such as mutual recognition of electronic signatures, legal validity of documents in cross-border format, and creating a reliable data exchange environment.

Initial practical results are currently being demonstrated, including test shipments using e-CMR.

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international economic organization that has been operating since January 1, 2015. The Union includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan obtained observer status in the EAEU in 2020. Additionally, Cuba and Iran also hold observer status.
