Mexican healthcare workers protest for wage increase and improved working conditions

Hundreds of Mexican healthcare workers marched through the capital, demanding higher pay, increased staffing, provision of necessary supplies, and improved working conditions.

Demonstrators representing the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) demanded the resignation of union leader Rafael Olivos Hernandez, accusing him of being unable to defend the interests of the workers.

These protests took place ahead of a decisive vote on the proposed 6.8% salary increase.
