Chinese Companies Showcase Technologies at Trade Exhibition in Tashkent

The second China-Central Asia Trade Exhibition 2026 has launched in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where about 200 Chinese companies are presenting their products and technologies. The exhibition covers sectors such as industrial production, digital technologies, green energy, and consumer electronics. The event is taking place at the Tashkent International Exhibition Center from October 14 to 16.

The exhibition was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Yue, a representative of the council in Kazakhstan, and Azamat Rakhmonov, head of the Department of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan responsible for developing cooperation with China.

This exhibition is being held for the second consecutive year as part of the designation by China and Central Asian countries of 2025–2026 as years for developing high-quality cooperation. The goals of the event include expanding economic and trade ties, strengthening strategic partnership between Beijing and Tashkent, and supporting agreements reached at the China-Central Asia summit.

Exhibition Overview

The exhibition covers an area of 4800 square meters and includes five thematic zones, as well as a separate section titled 'China Opportunities.' Visitors can learn about achievements in intelligent manufacturing, renewable energy, electronics, and trade in services. More than a third of the participating companies specialize in innovation or possess high technology.

Participants include China CAMC Engineering (CAMCE), which demonstrates its experience in international engineering and contracting projects and the creation of production capacities. Yonyou Network Technology presents digital solutions for global markets, while Focus Technology showcases cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade services. Lanxin Robotics displays industrial mobile robots, and LAISAI presents intelligent laser positioning and marking systems, as well as equipment for geodetic and engineering surveying.

Organizers expect the exhibition to promote industrial interaction between China and Uzbekistan by bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of specialized products in one place. This initiative is also aimed at strengthening ties among participants in supply chains.

Business Interaction Format

A Forum on Investment Cooperation between China and Uzbekistan was held within the framework of the exhibition, attended by representatives of industry associations and chambers of commerce and business from both countries. Business-to-business (B2B) meetings are also being organized to establish direct commercial contacts and align the interests of buyers and producers.

The additional program includes discussions on trade and economic cooperation with the provinces of Shaanxi and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade intends to continue supporting business relations between companies of the two countries, with a particular focus on the digital economy, new energy sources, and intelligent manufacturing. Organizers view this exhibition as a platform for expanding bilateral cooperation and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative.
