Tariff increases for heating and hot water possible in Uzbekistan

An increase in tariffs for providing heating and hot water to the population in Uzbekistan is planned, which is set to take effect on November 1, 2026. This government decision was presented for public discussion.

Furthermore, an annual indexation of tariffs for centralized heat supply services for the population is anticipated starting January 1, 2028. This indexation will occur once a year, beginning on May 1, and should not exceed the inflation rate proposed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, as well as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with growth not exceeding 10 percent.

According to the draft, the following tariffs are offered for consumers of 'Veolia Energy Tashkent' starting November 1. For example, the tariff for hot water for residents in communal shower rooms is set at 33,720 soms per month per person. This tariff is 30 percent higher than the tariff without the increasing coefficient.

It is worth noting that in Tashkent, tariffs were last increased on December 1, 2025.
