Starting October 16, the cost of domestic airline tickets for Uzbekistan Airways in Uzbekistan is expected to decrease by an average of twenty percent.

According to information provided by the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection, this tariff change was implemented by order of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Specialists from the Committee, together with the air carrier, analyzed transportation costs and developed proposals aimed at lowering ticket prices.
The department expresses hope that this price reduction will increase the accessibility of flights between different regions of the country and have a positive impact on the development of domestic tourism. Furthermore, the Committee plans to continue monitoring markets that affect citizens' financial situation and take steps to ensure consumer rights protection.
Previously, the national carrier also announced the introduction of a new full-featured Boeing 787-9 flight simulator. This complex will be installed at the Uzbekistan Airways training center and will become the first installation of this level in all of Central Asia.
