The company 'Uzbekistan Airways' has started lowering ticket tariffs starting from October 16. This decision was made based on the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, following a full analysis of price formation in the aviation market, existing tariffs, and service provision capabilities.
During the conducted research, ways to optimize transportation costs related to flights were identified, and proposals for changing ticket prices were prepared.
As stated in the report, the Competition Committee reviewed the tariffs for domestic flights in cooperation with 'Uzbekistan Airways' JSC. As a result, air ticket prices on domestic routes have been reduced by an average of up to 20 percent starting from October 16, 2023.
Based on the updated tariffs, one-way air ticket prices to regions other than Tashkent have been set. These changes serve to make air travel more convenient and affordable for the public, develop domestic tourism, expand mobility between regions, and provide additional convenience when planning business trips and personal visits, thereby ensuring consumer interests.
