Heavy rainfall with strong winds in Delhi-NCR; Chill increases due to temperature drop

The week started on Monday in Delhi-NCR with heavy rain, completely changing the weather pattern after the weekend. The rain across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad has led to a decrease in temperature, causing a slight chill in the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for heavy rainfall with strong winds in the NCR region for the next two to three hours. Strong winds had been blowing in the NCR since Sunday evening.

Early Monday morning, parts of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad experienced rain with strong thunder and lightning, resulting in pleasant weather and waterlogging in several places. Specifically, dense clouds poured down in central and southern areas of Delhi, such as around Connaught Place and Kalkaji Temple.

The Meteorological Department had previously predicted the possibility of rain in Delhi. On the second day of Sharadiya Navratri, waterlogging was observed in low-lying areas near Jhandewalan Temple, causing some difficulties in movement for devotees and passersby.

Weather experts believe that this rain in October may lead to further changes in the temperature of Delhi-NCR in the coming days, and a drop in minimum temperature may be recorded. Currently, after the rain stopped across the entire NCR, the air has cleared and the weather remains pleasant.
