Disney Cruise Line announces launch date for the Disney Believe ship in 2027

The Disney Believe, the latest ship from Disney Cruise Line, is scheduled to begin operations on December 18, 2027, departing from the port of Port Everglades in Florida. This ship will offer four and five-night itineraries exploring the Caribbean and the Bahamas, including stops at the company's private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Reservations for this new ship will be available starting October 19, 2026.

As the fourth ship in the Wish class, the Disney Believe will bring several novelties, such as an unprecedented musical based on Encanto, a themed restaurant inspired by Frozen, and a main hall decorated with elements from Moana. The company plans to expand its fleet, aiming to have a total of 13 ships by the end of 2030.

The Grand Hall will function as the heart of the ship, featuring a decoration inspired by the skies and seas of the Pacific islands depicted in the movie Moana. This space will feature a statue of the character accompanied by Pua and Heihei, a blue carpet evoking bioluminescence, and a chandelier simulating water movement.

The Walt Disney Theatre will host the first theatrical adaptation of Encanto on a Disney cruise. The play follows Mirabel's journey on a mission to rescue the Madrigal family and their home, incorporating costumes inspired by the film, references to Colombian culture, and choreography based on traditional dances.

Additionally, the lineup will include Tangled: The Musical, which will feature renewed sets and special effects, and Disney Seas the Adventure, bringing together characters from Disney and Pixar.

Inspired by Zootopia, Gazelle will provide games, character meet-and-greets, and an interactive show where passengers will help Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde solve a mystery. At night, the venue will also host performances for adults.

Other attractions include the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party fireworks celebration, the Hero Zone sports arena, and the Disney Uncharted Adventure experience, which offers missions around the ship using mobile devices. The Wonderland and Never Land cinemas will screen productions from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast will be one of the culinary highlights. This restaurant will be set in the courtyard of a forest chalet and will feature Oaken, Anna, and Kristoff, in addition to presenting new versions of songs from the franchise during dinner.

The 1923 restaurant will continue to celebrate the history of Disney animation, displaying over a thousand cartoons, artifacts, and tools from the Walt Disney Archives. Meanwhile, Worlds of Marvel will feature the Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix experience, with Rocket and Groot, and a special musical selection.

For dessert, Inside Out: Joyful Sweets will offer nearly twenty flavors of ice cream, artisanal gelato, and sweets, all in an environment reminiscent of Riley's emotional control center from Inside Out 2.

Two new cafes will debut onboard: the Big Hero Sips, inspired by Big Hero 6, and the Kakamora Cafe, with references to Moana. On the upper decks, the Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods will feature kiosks offering barbecue, salads, pizzas, hamburgers, and ice cream. Exclusive to the ship, Pluto’s Pita Platters will serve dishes with Mediterranean inspiration.

The upper decks will house three themed zones, including pools, quick-service eateries, and relaxation areas. The Mickey and Friends family area features seven pools and a screen for cinematic screenings and sports broadcasts.

AquaMouse, a 230-meter waterslide that combines water course and animation, will present new adventures with Mickey and Minnie, including narratives set in a snowy mountain and starring Disney antagonists. For children, there will be a water area inspired by Toy Story, equipped with a shallow pool, family slide, and smoothie bar.

New offerings for adults include Sea Notes, a piano bar inspired by Ariel's cave from The Little Mermaid; the Wishing Well, with references to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; and Skygazers, a pub themed around an observatory, celestial maps, and sports event broadcasting. The Haunted Mansion Parlor, a bar inspired by the park attraction, will also be available onboard.

The premium dining complex, inspired by Beauty and the Beast, will bring together Palo Steakhouse, specializing in meats and contemporary Italian cuisine; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, with French inspiration; and The Rose, a cocktail lounge with sea views.

Aft, Quiet Cove will be an area reserved exclusively for adults, offering an infinity pool, hot tubs, a bar, and a cafe. Senses Spa will provide relaxation and beauty treatments, while Senses Fitness will have exercise facilities. The ship will also feature the Untangled Salon, inspired by Tangled, and Hook’s Barbery, a barbershop with 1940s references.

The Disney Believe will have 1,133 ocean-view staterooms and only 121 interior staterooms. More than 450 of these have connecting doors, facilitating accommodation for larger family groups. Most cabins will be equipped with divided bathrooms, in addition to dedicated space for luggage and belongings.

Concierge-category passengers will have access to a lounge inspired by Alice in Wonderland, a private deck, and complimentary food and beverage services. Cabins and suites will feature décor inspired by Peter Pan, and seven special ocean-view rooms will be themed with references to Toy Story.

The ship will feature four Royal Suites: the Royal Reef, inspired by The Little Mermaid, and the Royal Rose, with references to the castle from Beauty and the Beast. The main innovation will be the Believe Tower Suite, exclusive to the Disney Believe. Located on the forward smokestack, this suite will cover approximately 185 square meters spread across two floors and accommodate eight people, including two main bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a powder room. Its panoramic windows will offer views of the upper decks and the horizon, and the décor will allude to Magic Kingdom, with rooms inspired by different park areas, lighting fixtures reminiscent of fireworks and balloons, in addition to a piece from Cinderella Castle.
