The team LOS was crowned champion of the second split of CBLOL 2026 this Saturday, the 10th, at Arena Carioca 1, located in Olympic Park. The decisive match against FURIA ended with LOS winning 3 to 2, after a series that extended to the fifth map. With this title, LOS secures a direct spot in the Swiss Stage of Worlds 2026, while FURIA, which finished as runner-up, will start the World Championship in the Play-In Stage.
This final represented a rematch of the first split dispute, which had been won by FURIA 3 to 1 in June. LOS entered the duel with the second-best ranking in the regular phase, boasting six victories and only one defeat, and had already beaten FURIA 3 to 1 in the playoffs of this split. The dynamic of the series was an alternation of results in each map: LOS won the first, FURIA the second, LOS the third, and FURIA the fourth.
In the first map, despite FURIA dominating a large part of the game, LOS managed to reverse the score through a fight for Baron, culminating in advancing to the Nexus. In the second game, FURIA reacted after another fight for Baron and a push down the bottom lane. LOS regained the lead in the third map, boosted by a strong start led by Curse. In the fourth map, FURIA adopted a more cautious strategy but secured the first victory, obtained control of the Dragon Soul, and pressured the mid lane to force the fifth game.
When the score reached 2 to 2, the atmosphere in the arena was extremely charged. In the decisive match, FURIA seemed to be in control until a bottom lane teamfight changed the course of the game. LOS prevailed in this confrontation; Duduhh increased the damage and turned the game around. Subsequently, LOS traded dragons, captured Baron, and pushed through the mid lane, destroying the Nexus at 35 minutes and 18 seconds.
Observers present noted that LOS demonstrated great patience and study of FURIA, making strategic decisions at opportune moments and exploiting every flaw of the opponent. The victory was surprising, given that most of the audience expected FURIA's triumph. Duduhh, moreover, had already been awarded the title of CBLOL 2026 Revelation of the Year before the final, consolidating himself as one of the tournament's highlights.
Curse was chosen as the MVP of the final. Over the five maps, the LOS jungler accumulated 10 kills, 12 deaths, and 20 assists, being responsible for approximately 58.8% of the team's kills. The event's atmosphere recalled the climate of other CBLOL editions in Rio. The opening featured a show by rapper Ebony, and before the final, there was a showcase match between Sucata and Ilha das Lendas, won by Sucata 19 to 7. Spectators were highly engaged, singing, performing choreography, and cheering during all the games, even generating waves in the stands that lasted several minutes.
The competition was marked by a healthy spirit, and the audience left satisfied with the performance of both teams and the excitement provided by the fifth map. The energy of the crowd accompanied every decision of the series, from the first kills to the last Baron, giving the event the characteristic of a great national final. This title holds historical significance for LOS, being the first for the team with this name in CBLOL, although the organization integrated Team oNe in 2022, which was champion in 2017. Meanwhile, FURIA records its first runner-up finish in the tournament's history.
The focus now turns to Worlds 2026, which will take place from October 15th to November 14th, with the final hosted in New York. FURIA will make its debut against MVK Esports, from LCP, in the Play-In Stage, between October 15th and 18th. Only one of the four teams in this stage will advance, and Brazil will have only two representatives in the Swiss Stage if FURIA manages to advance. LOS's Swiss Stage is scheduled to begin on October 23rd. Before that, LOS still needs to win the Promotion Tournament final, scheduled for Monday, the 12th, at 6 PM, to guarantee its stay in CBLOL 2027.
