The Iranian artist and sculptor Mohammad-Ali Vadood was awarded the title of best woodworking master in Asia and the Pacific region at the China-Asia-Pacific Furniture and Woodworking Industry Forum CAPFA in 2025.
According to data from the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, the award was presented after Vadood was nominated by the Federation of Woodworking Industry, Furniture, and Interior Architecture of Iran, and following an evaluation of his professional experience and artistic works. This was reported by the ministry's news outlet, Miras-e Arya.
Previously, Vadood had received international recognition for his creations. In 2021, he won a bronze award at the A’ Design Award competition held in Italy for his work titled 'One Thousand and One Nights.'
A significant part of his creative activity is focused on exploring the visual potential of wood, as well as the creative use of wood scraps and fragments in his pieces.
