Authorities of the Fergana region of Uzbekistan held discussions on potential joint investment projects with the Saudi company Tamimi Energy Group. The discussion covered the energy, agricultural, and food processing sectors.
The negotiations took place in Riyadh during the working trip of the Governor of the Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, to Saudi Arabia. He met with Yahya Balkharis, the company's General Manager for Commercial Affairs.
Tamimi Energy Group is part of Tamimi Holding and operates in the fields of energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, electricity generation, water supply, and industrial infrastructure. According to the information provided, the group has over 50 years of experience in providing engineering solutions for energy and industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia and other countries.
During the meetings, the parties studied opportunities to expand cooperation beyond the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to the processing of fruits and vegetables grown in the Fergana region, the creation of modern warehousing and packaging facilities, the launch of new livestock projects, and the development of energy infrastructure.
Bozorov presented the region's potential in agriculture and industry, as well as the conditions for implementing joint projects with foreign partners. Participants also discussed the possibility of combining the technological and industry experience of the Saudi company with the economic potential of the Fergana region to develop mutually beneficial investment initiatives.
It is expected that the discussed areas will serve as a basis for further work on practical projects and the development of bilateral cooperation.
