The Migration Service of Uzbekistan issued a warning to citizens regarding fraudulent schemes related to purchasing tickets for bus transportation between Moscow and Tashkent.
Scammers use photos and videos of buses operated by the company Uzautotrans Service to present illegal transport services as official routes.
According to the agency's report, travel announcements are posted on social media and YouTube channels. When passengers inquire about trips, scammers claim that tickets for official services are sold out at the ticket offices and offer to sell them directly at inflated prices. However, instead of traveling on the stated route, passengers are put on illegal buses.
The agency reminded that Uzautotrans Service operates regular routes from Moscow to Tashkent on Mondays and Thursdays. Buses depart from the Novoyasenevskaya and Kotelniky bus stations and arrive at the Tashkent bus station.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices of the specified bus stations, as well as online through the relevant mobile applications and websites. The cost of travel on regular routes is 8,500 rubles, and tickets for additional services organized on the same days cost 7,000 rubles.
The Migration Service strongly urges citizens to purchase tickets exclusively through official channels and verify information about the carrier to avoid becoming a victim of fraudsters.
