Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which owns and operates the retail chain D-Mart, announced an 8.5 percentage point increase in consolidated net profit to ₹742.98 crore for the September quarter compared to the same period last year.
Previously, according to regulatory filings from Avenue Supermarts, the company's net profit in the quarter from July to September last year was ₹684.85 crore.
For the reporting quarter, operating revenue increased by 17.8 percent, reaching ₹19,644 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, this figure was ₹16,676.30 crore.
Avenue Supermarts' total expenses rose by 18.3 percent for the September quarter, amounting to ₹18,632.70 crore. The company's total income, including other receipts, reached ₹19,657.54 crore, demonstrating a growth of 17.73 percent in the September quarter.
In the first half of fiscal year 27 (H1/FY27), Avenue Supermarts' total income was ₹38,477.85 crore, showing an increase of 16.47 percent.
DMart, promoted by Radhakishan Damani and his family, sells essential household goods and personal care products in various markets, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, NCR, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
