Elon Musk addressed Ambani, accusing him of seeking to protect his monopoly, and called for Starlink to be allowed into the Indian market, arguing that satellite internet can improve access to education and markets.
In his appeal, Musk wrote: 'Dear Prime Minister Ambani, please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India. Naturally, you would prefer to support your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but could you still consider allowing Starlink to compete?'
He emphasized that in many regions of India, as in all countries, there is no internet access, which deprives children of the opportunity to receive an education, and small businesses of the chance to sell their goods on the global market. Musk added that Starlink is capable of changing their lives for the better.
