SEGA will announce accessibility features at BGS 2026 booth in partnership with AbleGamers Brasil

SEGA confirmed a collaboration with AbleGamers Brasil aimed at increasing the accessibility of its space at the Brasil Game Show (BGS) in 2026. This project seeks to ensure that participants with visual impairments can explore the facilities and take part in the activities proposed by the company.

The 300 square meters allocated for the SEGA booth will be adapted to offer a more welcoming and inclusive experience, allowing various audience groups to enjoy the fair's attractions. The audio description service will include detailed descriptions of the scenarios, information about the activations, and panoramic views of the structure.

The main objective is to simplify navigation and movement for individuals with visual impairments while providing additional data about the available experiences. For access to the resources, Braille and high-contrast signage will be installed near the activity areas. The audio descriptions were created by specialists and their validity was confirmed by blind individuals.

This action integrates the work of AbleGamers Brasil, an organization dedicated to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities through video games. Christian Bernauer, president of the entity, highlighted that this partnership marks progress in creating more accessible environments at gaming events.

Bernauer stated: 'Autonomy is dignity for people with disabilities. Creating an environment where they can fully experience things is part of our mission, and we are very happy to have a partner like SEGA to achieve this goal.' The initiative also underscores the relevance of considering accessibility not only in games but also in physical spaces and the experiences offered to the public at industry events.
