The implementation of the AI-based attendance monitoring system SI Davomat is planned for an additional 302 educational institutions in Tashkent during 2027–2028. These plans are stipulated in a decree issued by the Mayor of Tashkent on October 6.
Currently, the system is undergoing pilot testing in 26 schools in the Sergeli district, where 446 intelligent cameras have been installed. The results of this testing will serve as the basis for the phased introduction of this technology into other general education institutions in the capital.
According to data from the Tashkent city administration, the use of intelligent cameras and Face ID technology allows the system to record students' arrival at school and their presence in classes. The collected data is intended for a deeper study of the reasons for student absences, improving interaction between parents and schools, and providing timely support for children.
In addition to attendance control, SI Davomat is being considered as a tool for analyzing the organization of the educational process, student activity, and teaching methodology across subjects, classes, and teachers.
The mayor's decree refers to the protocol of instructions issued by the President of Uzbekistan on September 4. This document provides for measures to improve attendance in the capital's state schools and the introduction of a corresponding system in all educational institutions.
Currently, there are over 500 state schools and about 150 private educational institutions operating in Tashkent.
