The state-owned energy company NTPC has designated three strategic locations across India for the construction of nuclear power plants.
According to information from New Delhi, NTPC has identified three locations—one each in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha. The company's goal is to increase nuclear capacity by 30 GW as part of a project covering 14 states by 2047.
Earlier this year, NTPC signed non-disclosure agreements with Rosatom and EDF. These agreements aim to explore opportunities for technological cooperation to implement large-scale pressurized reactor projects in India.
