The Uzbekistan Competition Committee has discovered violations of competition legislation within a tender originally valued at 15.5 billion sums, which was organized for JSC 'Navoi Suv Ta'minoti'.
These findings were reported by the committee's press service. The inspection was conducted following an appeal filed by one of the business entities. Committee specialists determined that JSC 'Navoi Suv Ta'minoti' failed to meet the requirements of the Law of Uzbekistan on Competition.
After discovering the violations, the committee's Special Commission initiated a case against JSC 'Navoi Suv Ta'minoti' for violating antimonopoly legislation. After reviewing the case according to established procedures, a decision was made to impose a financial fine on the company.
Furthermore, the Competition Committee issued mandatory directives to JSC 'Navoi Suv Ta'minoti'. The company is obliged to rectify the identified legal violations and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. However, the Competition Committee's statement did not specify the exact amount of the financial penalty or the specific legislative provisions that were violated.
