Mivi One 5G smartphone launched for sale starting at 11,999 rupees

The debut smartphone from the Indian brand Desi-Technologies, the Mivi One 5G model, has started selling. The company introduced the device during the Big Billion Days sale on the Flipkart platform, setting the initial effective price at 11,999 rupees.

Sales of the Mivi One 5G begin on October 8th on Flipkart. Users with Flipkart Plus, VIP, or Black membership, or those making purchases with corresponding cards, will receive early access on the night of October 8th. Open sales for other buyers will start on October 9th.

Mivi, previously known for its audio products such as headphones, headsets, speakers, and soundbars for almost ten years, is now entering the smartphone market. The Mivi One 5G is the company's first device in this new segment.

This phone directly competes in the budget segment, where consumers look for devices with 5G support, a large battery, and a good processor. Mivi equipped the phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G chipset, positioning it as a 5G smartphone in its price range.

Which models are available for 11,999 rupees?

The Mivi One 5G is available in three variants. The model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage has an effective price of 11,999 rupees during Big Billion Days. The variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost 13,499 rupees, while the top model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be priced at 14,999 rupees. These prices include bank and UPI offers.

One of the key advantages of the smartphone is its battery—the Mivi One 5G is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. A large battery capacity is especially important for users of budget phones who watch a lot of videos, use social media, or use their phone throughout the day.

Snapdragon Processor and Android 16

The Mivi One 5G features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G processor with 4nm technology. The phone offers options with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM, with all configurations having 128GB of storage. According to the company, this chipset achieved a score of approximately 4.9 lakh in the AnTuTu test.

The phone comes pre-installed with the Android 16 operating system. Mivi has promised to provide software updates up to Android 18.

The Mivi One 5G has a 6.75-inch display with HD+ resolution, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate provides a smoother feel when scrolling and general screen use.

Regarding the camera, the phone is equipped with a dual 50MP main rear camera. A front camera with 8MP is provided for selfies and video calls, which also supports PDAF. The ClearTalk function is implemented in calls, based on the company's Neural Voice Engine technology. This function is designed to reduce background noise during conversations, such as traffic noise, wind, talking, and music, so that the recipient can hear your voice better.

Additional benefits were also announced for Jio customers. Eligible Jio customers can receive a 12-month Canva Pro subscription, a one-month Hotstar Mobile + Hollywood subscription, and an 18-month Google Gemini Pro plan.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17T 5G version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage was raised from 69,999 rupees to 74,999 rupees. The new prices have been updated on the official Xiaomi India portal and on Amazon India.

The Xiaomi 17T 5G was launched in June of this year at a price of 59,999 rupees. Following the latest price revision, the total cost of this mobile device has increased by 10,000 rupees. The gadget is available in three color options: purple, blue, and black.

The Xiaomi 17T 5G is equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The Xiaomi 17T 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which operates with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and supports up to 512GB of internal storage.

The rear camera system of the Xiaomi 17T 5G features a triple configuration, including the main Light Fusion 800 module with a 50MP resolution. A periscope telephoto lens from Leica with a 50-megapixel resolution serves as the secondary camera, alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

Xiaomi launches Redmi 17C 5G in India: priced from ₹20,999, features 6000 mAh battery and 50 MP camera

Xiaomi has introduced its new smartphone, the Redmi 17C 5G, to the Indian market. The main features of the model include a large 6.9-inch screen and a 6000 mAh battery. The starting price for the device is set at ₹20,999, with sales beginning on October 7th.

The Redmi 17C 5G is available in two configurations in India. The model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs ₹20,999, while the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost ₹22,999. Sales will be conducted through Amazon, mi.com, Xiaomi retail stores, and other offline channels starting from October 7th.

6000 mAh Battery

The smartphone is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. According to Xiaomi's statements, the battery is designed for long usage, and the company guarantees retaining at least 80% capacity after 1000 full charge cycles. However, it should be noted that although the phone supports 33W charging, the package includes a 15W charger, which requires buyers to pay attention to the difference between the phone's capabilities and its accessories.

6.9-inch Screen and 120Hz Refresh Rate

The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The company has also incorporated eye comfort features such as DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification. The peak brightness of the screen reaches 810 nits. The high refresh rate ensures smoothness during scrolling and system animations. Nevertheless, it should be considered that despite the large size, the HD+ resolution means a lower pixel density compared to models in a similar price range that feature an FHD+ panel.

Dimensity 6300 Processor and 5G Support

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 5G chipset built on a 6nm process. Users have options with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and virtual RAM expansion is supported. The storage capacity is 128GB, which can be increased up to 1TB using a microSD card. The operating system is based on Android 16 and uses Xiaomi HyperOS 3. The company promises two years of software updates and four years of security updates.

The rear camera of the Redmi 17C 5G features a 50MP main sensor, supplemented by an additional sensor and LED flash. A front camera of 8MP is provided for selfies and video calls. The rear camera is capable of recording video in 1080p resolution. Redmi emphasizes the large screen capabilities, battery, and 5G support rather than the camera setup itself.

IP64 Rating Support

The phone has received an IP64 rating, indicating protection against dust and water splashes. Additional features include a side fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The device weighs approximately 211 grams.

When compared to the Redmi 15C, many hardware specifications are similar: both smartphones feature the Dimensity 6300, a 6.9-inch 120Hz display, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 6000 mAh battery, and 33W charging support. Thus, for ₹20,999, the user receives a combination of a large 6.9-inch screen, 120Hz refresh rate, 6000 mAh battery, and Dimensity 6300 processor, along with Android 16-based HyperOS 3.

Mivi launches its first smartphone, Mivi One 5G, with features for 30,000 rupees at a price of 12,999 rupees

The Indian brand Mivi, known for its headphones and speakers, has entered the smartphone market by releasing its first model—the Mivi One 5G. The device starts at ₹12,999 and features 5G support, a Snapdragon processor, a 6000 mAh battery, and clean software. Sales of the smartphone will begin on the Flipkart platform on October 8th.

The main appeal of the Mivi One 5G is not just its low cost. The company enters the market at a time when most brands offer similar configurations in the price segment around ₹15,000, while the overall cost of smartphones continues to rise. Mivi decided to attract buyers with an aggressive pricing policy, using a large battery, clean OS, and a Qualcomm chip as competitive advantages.

Configuration Details for ₹12,999

The Mivi One 5G is available in three variants. The model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage costs ₹12,999. The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost ₹14,999, and the top model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹16,499. According to the company, using UPI offers or exchange promotions can provide a discount of up to ₹1,000, lowering the effective starting price to ₹11,999. The phone will be available in five colors: blue, maroon, dark blue, green, and pink.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Processor

The Mivi One 5G is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. This chip is built on a 4nm process and supports 5G connectivity. The company's focus is not so much on flagship performance but on providing sufficient power for daily use and affordable 5G. The processor is an octa-core chip with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz and includes the Qualcomm Adreno GPU.

However, it should be noted that this phone cannot be considered a powerful gaming device just because it has the Snapdragon name; it is a budget chip. It is best suited for regular applications, social media, video streaming, and daily tasks.

6000 mAh Battery

The smartphone is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery. Although a large battery capacity is no longer new in this price range, Mivi highlighted it as one of its key features. The package includes an 18W charger. A configuration with such a battery is rare in this price category. However, 18W charging cannot be considered very fast, and fully charging a 6000 mAh battery may take longer compared to phones with faster charging.

Large Screen, But Not Full HD

The Mivi One 5G features a large 6.75-inch display. This is an HD+ LCD panel supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The 120Hz refresh rate contributes to smoother scrolling and overall usage. Nevertheless, to maintain a low price, the company opted for HD+ resolution, foregoing Full HD+.

50MP Camera and 8MP Front Camera

For photography, the phone is equipped with a main rear module from Samsung ISOCELL with a resolution of 50MP, as well as an 8MP front camera. The rear camera boasts features such as PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture. While the camera hardware looks promising, one cannot conclude the image quality solely based on the 50MP value. In the budget segment, image processing quality, low-light performance, and video quality are far more important, which can only be determined after testing and real-world use.

Clean Android Experience

The Mivi One 5G runs on Android 16. The company paid special attention to removing unnecessary pre-installed applications, or 'bloatware,' which could be a significant advantage since many budget phones come with a large amount of pre-installed software. Furthermore, the company has promised an update to Android 18. If Mivi can maintain a clean and light software experience over a long period, this phone could gain recognition not only for its technical specifications but also for its software quality.

For Mivi, the real challenge is not creating the phone itself, but gaining trust. The Mivi brand has been selling audio products in India for about ten years, but the smartphone market is fundamentally different. Here, consumers evaluate not only the camera, battery, and processor but also the availability of service centers, timeliness of software updates, and long-term reliability. In this regard, the company introduced the Mivi Care+ program, which involves picking up a faulty phone from the customer and providing a new device within seven days of filing a complaint. This step is particularly important for buyers who are spending money on a new smartphone from an unknown brand for the first time.
