Demand for scooters from TVS Motor has significantly increased. The company holds leading positions in the electric scooter segment and is also successfully selling a large number of models in the ICE (internal combustion engine) segment.
Among the company's product line, the TVS NTorq is the second best-selling scooter; however, the TVS Jupiter remains the top seller. The TVS NTorq was introduced on February 5, 2018. By the end of August 2025, the company had sold 20.8 million units of this model, and by August 2026, sales exceeded the 25 million mark.
In September 2025, TVS released the NTorq 150 model, which was based on the NTorq 125 platform but offered higher power.
There has been a rise in demand for the TVS NTorq in the current fiscal year. As of August 2026, 40,256 NTorq scooters were sold: 28,298 units with a 125 cc engine and 11,958 units with a 150 cc engine.
As of September, sales of other models in the TVS portfolio amounted to: Jupiter — 147,450 units, Jet — 11,213 units, iQube — 42,882 units, and Orbiter — 14,641 units.
The first 100,000 units of the NTorq took TVS 51 months. Reaching 20 million units required only 36 months. As for the last 5 million units, it took only 15 months to sell them. Over the last eight and a half years, the company has sold more than 2.5 million units of this scooter.
The NTorq 125 model is available in various color options and configurations. The price for the disc variant starts from 83,850 rupees at a showroom in New Delhi. It is available in variants: Disc, Race Edition, Super Scod Edition, Race XP, and XT. It can be purchased in Drift Blue, Inferno Red, and Rush Green colors.
The scooter is equipped with a 124.8 cc engine that generates 7.5 kW of power and 11.5 Nm of torque. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in just 7.9 seconds. Its features include Type-C charging and low fuel warning, as well as various connectivity options.
