Patient in Kanpur Swallows Stone Weighing About One and a Half Kilograms During Hemorrhoid Treatment; Doctors Perform Surgery

A patient from Kanpur, who was suffering from hemorrhoid problems, began using the method of warming with a hot stone upon the advice of a traditional healer (Nimbhakhim). During the procedure, a stone weighing approximately one and a half kilograms entered his body. Over time, the patient's condition deteriorated to the point where it became difficult for him to walk or sit. Eventually, he was taken to the Ursla District Hospital in Kanpur.

After examination at the hospital, an X-ray revealed the presence of a stone inside his body. When doctors questioned the patient about what happened, he explained that the incident occurred while attempting to warm his hemorrhoids. The medical team immediately prepared for surgery, and after several hours of surgical procedure, the stone was removed, saving the patient's life.

According to the patient himself, he had hemorrhoid issues, and the pain was very severe. He consulted a traditional healer, who advised him to use a hot stone for warming. The patient stated that he heated the stone and started warming his hemorrhoids, unaware that this home remedy would lead to mortal danger. During the warming process, the stone went inside, and the patient did not understand how it happened. The situation continued to worsen.

After the stone entered, the patient's condition began to deteriorate sharply, causing difficulties with movement and sitting. As the pain intensified, relatives brought him to the Ursla District Hospital in Kanpur. Initially, the patient did not reveal the whole truth to the doctors, only mentioning his hemorrhoid problems. Dr. Prashant Mishra began the examination and, noticing that the problem differed from ordinary hemorrhoids, decided to perform an X-ray.

The X-ray results shocked even the doctors: a large stone weighing about one and a half kilograms was found inside his body. After reviewing the images, the doctors re-questioned the patient. Although he initially hesitated to disclose the incident, detailed questions from the doctors compelled him to admit that he had used a hot stone to warm his hemorrhoids, and the stone had gone inside. The main task before the doctors was to safely remove the stone. Given the seriousness of the situation, Dr. Prashant Mishra immediately planned the operation.

The operation lasted several hours. The medical team carefully extracted the stone. After the operation, the patient was hospitalized and monitored. According to the doctors, the patient's condition is currently stable, and he is recovering from treatment.

After the operation, while in the ward, the patient admitted his mistake. He explained that due to the severe pain from his hemorrhoids, he followed the traditional healer's advice and tried to warm the area with a hot stone. The patient also noted that he did not understand how the stone could have gotten inside. He now warns others against making such a mistake. He emphasized that the doctors saved his life, and he will no longer conduct any experiments on his health without consulting a qualified specialist.

Dr. Prashant Mishra strongly warned people about the need for caution. He noted that people often avoid seeing doctors due to shame or embarrassment regarding issues like hemorrhoids, and instead resort to folk remedies recommended by acquaintances, through the internet, or healers. However, using any hot objects, stones, or other materials on sensitive parts of the body can lead to serious injuries. Doctors emphasize that hemorrhoid treatment must be based on its condition and causes, which requires a mandatory examination by a competent physician.
