Thanks to the increased value of SpaceX and Tesla shares, Elon Musk's net worth has once again surpassed the one trillion dollar mark, allowing him to regain the status of the world's richest person. He first achieved this status in June after SpaceX shares began trading on the stock exchange.
According to Forbes data, Musk's wealth reached one trillion dollars on the morning of October 5, increasing by $30.6 billion in a single day. Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, who is valued at $371.5 billion, took second place in the global ranking.
At the start of trading on October 5, SpaceX shares showed a growth of over 5%, reaching $167 per share. Simultaneously, Tesla quotes also rose by more than 1%. The rise in SpaceX stock prices was driven by a statement from Morgan Stanley analysts regarding the potential undervaluation of the company's shares. Furthermore, a positive factor was the successful launch of the Starship rocket into orbit last week.
Tesla shares received support due to the third-quarter vehicle delivery report, which exceeded analysts' forecasts. This factor contributed to an increase in Musk's net worth of approximately $61 billion just on Friday. Previously, Musk became a trillionaire in June after SpaceX started trading on Nasdaq, but then lost this status due to the decline in the quotes of both companies. In recent weeks, his capital has approached the one trillion dollar mark again amid stock growth.
