Drishyam 3 maintains high figures after Tuesday dip, despite Monday decline

Ajay Devgn's new film, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, has established itself as a blockbuster. This third and final installment of the Drishyam franchise in Hindi is setting box office records. The film received a very strong start and successfully collected at the box office during the first weekend, while also maintaining its popularity on weekdays.

Analyzing the revenue chart for Drishyam 3, the movie shows an overall positive trend. After an opening collection of 62 crore, the film became the highest-grossing film in Ajay Devgn's career. In the first weekend, Drishyam exceeded 150 crore. However, there was a significant drop in collections in subsequent working days, although the film easily overcame the challenge of Monday.

Typically, substantial discounts are offered on tickets on Tuesdays, ranging from 99 to 149 rupees, which often brings significant profit to many films. However, it seems that this did not happen with Drishyam 3. According to Sakencilk, on Tuesday, the fifth day of screening, the film earned a net income of 19 crore. Nevertheless, the total collection over five days reached 216.50 crore rupees.

Around 16 thousand shows were scheduled for Tuesday, with an occupancy rate of 23%. Regarding the worldwide collection, Drishyam 3 has earned a total of 341.30 crore so far. This is comparable to the lifetime collection of the previous series installment, Drishyam 2, which was around 342–345 crore. Thus, it is expected that Drishyam 3 will easily surpass the lifetime collection of its predecessor.

Currently, reaching the 500 crore mark for Drishyam 3 seems quite probable, as no other films are scheduled for release in theaters during the week. When the new wave of releases begins, it will be with Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 on October 15, followed by a series of other movies on October 16. Drishyam 3 still has a whole week left. It will be interesting to see if Ajay Devgn achieves his first film in his career to collect 500 crore.

Ajay Devgn's film 'Drishyam 3' continues to gain popularity after its release

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is in good form, as his last two films—'Dhamal 4' and 'Drishyam 3'—have been box office hits. 2026 has proven to be a special year for the actor, especially thanks to 'Drishyam 3', which recouped its budget in just three days after its premiere.

The film 'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' has established itself as the second most significant Hindi film of the year. On its release day, October 2nd, it collected a net income of 62 million rupees, giving the actor his highest start in his career. On the second day, the film earned another 53.50 million rupees, easily surpassing the 100 million mark at the box office. By the third day, 'Drishyam 3's' revenue exceeded 150 million, concluding the first weekend with a net income of 176.50 million rupees.

However, the real test for the film was supposed to come on Monday. Typically, there is a decline in box office collections on weekdays. Nevertheless, according to the Sakencilk report, on the fourth day, 'Drishyam 3' managed to collect a net income of 21 million rupees. The film's total net income reached 197.50 million rupees, and on Tuesday, it will confidently enter the club of films with box office collections exceeding 200 million. Over four days, the film's total worldwide gross amounted to 303 million rupees.

Meanwhile, the lifetime worldwide collection for 'Drishyam 2' was around 342–345 million rupees. Since the third sequel earned over 300 million in just four days, this figure will also be easily surpassed.

The average cinema attendance for 'Drishyam 3' on Monday was 24%, which, on one hand, allows the film to pass the 'Monday test'. However, looking at the difference in earnings, the film faced a drop of more than 65% on Monday. Despite this, 'Drishyam 3' still has another week during which it can continue to earn.

Rajanakanth's film 'Jailer 2' is releasing before October 15th, giving Ajay's film more time to collect revenue. Tuesday is a very important day for this picture, as many cinemas hold special ticket promotions on that day, which could lead to a surge in box office collections. However, it remains unknown whether such an increase will occur.

Siddhartha Malhotra's film 'The One' succeeds while Nani's 'The Paradise' faces revenue decline

Interest in Indian films is currently surpassing interest in South Indian cinema. The film 'Hanuman Ansh,' which has been in theaters for 50 days, is showing high box office collections. Although several other films were released during its run, they proved to be unsuccessful. New major movies premiered in theaters this week, attracting public attention.

Among them are 'The One' starring Siddharth Malhotra and Tamma Bhatia, as well as Nani's 'The Paradise,' which competed with it.

Considering 'Hanuman Ansh': on its 50th day, there was a slight decrease in revenue. According to Sakencilk, on its seventh Friday, the film earned a net of 3.35 crore rupees across 3767 screens. The film's total net collection reached 291.53 crore rupees. Due to the release of new movies, the number of screens showing 'Hanuman Ansh' also significantly decreased. Previously, on the 24th, the film was shown on approximately 6000 screens, indicating that its earnings began to gradually decline.

On the other hand, Nani and Raghav Jurel's film 'The Paradise,' released on a weekday on September 24th, also faced serious financial losses. After earning over 45 crore rupees in net collection on its premiere day, the film's revenue dropped by 57% on the second day. By Friday, the film collected a net of 14.90 crore rupees, reaching 61.15 crore rupees over two days. Based on the start, it seemed the film would easily collect 100 crore rupees in two days, but this now seems unlikely. The film faced a serious slump due to negative audience reviews.

Meanwhile, the film 'The One Force of the Forest,' produced with the involvement of Ekta Kapoor, created a sensation at the box office. It started with an opening collection of 8 crore rupees across 7646 screens on the first day. States such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh contributed the most to this success. The film's plot is related to the Temple of the Forest Goddess in Bihar and depicts the sacred festival of Chhath Puja, which evokes a strong emotional connection among the local population. Critics gave the film mixed reviews. Nevertheless, the film starring Siddharth Malhotra started its run with a strong beginning, and it remains to be seen what its total earnings will be over its entire run.
