The Miramar Tower, as described by the project team, stands out for its uniqueness in the landscape extending to the sea, offering an exclusive visual and sensory frame. Although it follows similar proportions and dimensions to existing structures in Pasteleira, located to the north, it differs through its thematic and linguistic approach.
The volumetric composition results from integrated architecture aimed at creating housing types with balconies exceeding 200 square meters. At the highest point of the podium, a vertical volume composed of 15 floors rises, aligned with the road and presenting a height comparable to the region's towers.
By situating the building in the most central area of the plot, maximum distance between all neighboring constructions was ensured. Featuring a structuralist matrix and a dendritic vertical section, the project demonstrates adaptability for optimizing different housing types. The floors, arranged with one or two residential units, form a spiraled discourse, where the apparent rotation and the design of the 360-degree terraces confer a formal and referential verticality.
Each residence has its own characteristics and identity, including a private garden. To respect the singularity of the project and prevent a sense of repetition, the tower incorporates dynamism through the sliding of horizontal slabs in the balcony area. These balconies not only define the conceptual theme but also provide an opportunity for plastic and sculptural exercise, being conceived in concrete.
The uses within the tower are characterized by exceptionality, balancing the fluidity of common areas, which connect to the exterior and the distant horizon, with the compartmentalization of bedrooms. On the ground floor, an atrium connected to the gymnasium and other common areas establishes continuity with the natural and vegetal ground, integrating a microclimate with planned biodiversity. The result is a vibrant and proud image of its scale, which mixes an evocative revivalism of the tower with the idea of total space as total life, capable of absorbing the surrounding environment.
