Unlike the usual pattern, where mobile phone values tend to drop months or weeks after launch, Samsung's Galaxy A line has undergone considerable price adjustments. A survey conducted by TecMundo indicated that some devices saw their costs increase by up to 109%.
An example of this is the Galaxy A07 4G with 256 GB of memory. This model was introduced in Brazil in September 2025 with an official price of R$ 899 for the 128 GB version and R$ 1,099 for the 256 GB version. Currently, more than a year after its launch, the Samsung online store sells these same models at these prices, not including possible promotions.
Other smartphones also registered notable increases. The Galaxy A17 4G (LTE) with 256 GB, launched at the same time for R$ 1,599, now costs R$ 2,399, representing a 50% adjustment on the Samsung online store. Similarly, the Galaxy A17 5G with 256 GB had its price raised from R$ 1,849 to R$ 2,699, which corresponds to a 46% increase.
These price increments did not happen abruptly; some models from the Galaxy A07 and Galaxy A17 series had their values adjusted in April of this year. What is noteworthy is that Samsung promoted another round of adjustments just a few months later.
In addition to these lines, the Galaxy A27, Galaxy A37, and Galaxy A57 models were also impacted, albeit with smaller percentage increases. This situation reflects a global trend affecting various sectors of the technology industry, and not just the smartphone market.
In this context, the main factor responsible for these increases is the growing cost scenario of electronic components, particularly RAM and storage chips. Returning to Samsung, it is relevant to note that the adjustments were not limited to the Galaxy A family. Recently, the Galaxy S26 line has also seen its prices rise in Brazil, with increases ranging between R$ 300 and R$ 1,300.
