Third son of family in Kanpur dies after conflict with wife; father loses all sons except one

In Kanpur, where a man lives around 70 years old, life is overshadowed by a series of tragedies: first the eldest son died, then the youngest, and now the third son has passed away. These losses have deprived the father of hope for support from his children.

Raj Bahadur Singh, who resides in Kanpur, has faced deep sorrow. Out of four sons, he has lost two. The recent death of the third son, Sandeep Singh, has been an unbearable blow to the elderly father. Only one son remains in the family—Vikram Singh.

Sandeep Singh worked as a government doctor and lived with his second wife, Kanchan Singh, in an apartment in Saket Nagar, Kanpur. Kanchan Singh is also a government doctor. According to available information, an argument occurred between the couple late on Sunday evening, after which Sandeep took his own life. Chaos ensued in the family upon receiving the news. Kanchan Singh took him to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.

Raj Bahadur Singh Chakeri lives in Pardevanpur. His sons are Vishal Singh, Vikram Singh, Sandeep Singh, and Rahul Singh. According to family data, Vishal died from illness, and the youngest, Rahul, died in a road traffic accident. After Sandeep's death, only Vikram Singh survived among the four brothers, who lives with his father. For the elderly man, it is immense grief to watch his children pass away.

The family considered Sandeep an important source of hope, as he achieved recognition as a doctor after joining the civil service. However, the sudden news on Sunday shocked the entire family. Sandeep Singh was appointed as a government doctor, initially working at the Kanpur Medical College and later providing services in Kanpur Dehat. He was involved in the medical field, just like his wife Kanchan Singh. Both were in a second marriage; Sandeep's first wife divorced him, and they have one son. Several years after the divorce, Sandeep entered into a loving marriage with Kanchan Singh, and they had two children. They lived together in an apartment in Saket Nagar, Kanpur.

Family members report that Sandeep and Kanchan experienced periodic disagreements. An argument also took place the night before the tragedy. Late at night, the family received news of Sandeep's deteriorating condition. Kanchan immediately took him to the hospital. Despite the doctors' efforts, he could not be saved. According to Sandeep's cousin, Satendra Singh, the family learned about the incident by phone. He noted that conflicts had previously arisen between the couple, although the true reason for the dispute is not yet clear. The police are investigating the case.

For the father, the most heartbreaking detail was that before the incident, his son prayed before Laddu Gopal. According to the family, Sandeep bowed before the feet of Laddu Gopal. Soon after this, the family learned what happened. This information deepened the pain of the elderly father. On one hand, he is experiencing shock from losing his son, and on the other, he remembers the two sons he has already lost.

After the incident, Kanchan Singh took Sandeep to Regency Hospital, where doctors tried to save him, but he died. The police were then called. Officers arriving at the scene began an investigation. According to DCP Dipen Nathau Choudhary, the government doctor shot himself with his licensed revolver. The police took the body for forensic examination and seized the weapon for further study. Currently, the family has not filed an official complaint.

The police are preliminarily treating the case as suicide, as no statement has been received from the family. Further actions will depend on the autopsy results and the investigation. The police are ascertaining the circumstances preceding the incident and the nature of the dispute between the spouses. Before drawing any conclusions, the police investigation must be completed. Sandeep's death has deprived not only one family of its member but has also left behind children, a father, and other relatives. He has one son from his first marriage and two children from his second. After Sandeep's death, the children are without their father's support. And for Raj Bahadur Singh, who is around 70 years old, another huge void has opened up in his life.
