The project involves the restoration and enhancement of the Patriarchal Cathedral of Lisbon, as well as the installation of an archaeological core and the restoration of the upper and lower cloisters. This project is presented by the company Adalberto Dias Arquitecto lda.
Historians use numerous classifications to describe the cathedral, including Romanesque, Gothic, Mannerist, Baroque, Neo-Romanesque, Neo-Gothic, and Neo-Manueline styles. The cathedral is a building constructed at the initiative of the founding of Portugal.
It was erected by order of D. Afonso Henriques after the city was conquered by Moors, located on the southern side and in the middle of the castle slope.
