Numerous discussions have arisen surrounding the death of Premānand Maharaj's disciple, Dipak Lodhi. On September 25, Dipak Lodhi, also known as Rasik Dulari Sharan, committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of Guru Kripa Kundja in Vrindavan. Following this, questions began to surface regarding Premānand Maharaj and his ashram.
Three families from different places staged protests near Premānand's ashram, demanding the location of their missing relatives. Seeing the growing dispute, Saint Aniruddhaacharya intervened to defend Premānand.
Saint Aniruddhaacharya spoke in defense of Premānand, noting that people are leveling many accusations against such a great saint. He emphasized that some individuals lack sufficient knowledge and begin to judge, acting as judges. Aniruddhaacharya pointed out how much ill was spoken about Premānand Maharaj, despite the fact that he daily read sacred texts and connected the lives of millions of people with devotion, awakening love for God in people's hearts while remaining silent.
He continued by mentioning that Premānand Maharaj suffers from health issues, specifically kidney problems and constant body swelling. Nevertheless, he is always ready to meet people, talk with them, listen, and guide them toward devotion. Despite this, some members of society continue to harass him and speak negatively about him.
Aniruddhaacharya quoted the shloka: 'Vinashakale vipariti buddhi,' which means that when the time of death or destruction approaches a person, their mind begins to operate in reverse. He also stated that Premānand Maharaj is a benevolent saint who works for the salvation of people, and questioned what his fault is if someone dies. He stressed that death is inevitable, and it is illogical to place responsibility for death on a saint. Since Earth is the world of mortals, everyone who comes here must leave. Even sadhu-saints utter the name of God, but they are not immortal, so saints should not be troubled without knowing the whole truth.
